This KTM 790 Duke Prototype video is what wet dreams are all about!

If there’s one motorcycle brand that everyone else really needs to take inspiration from – it’s KTM. The Austrian marquee has had its history, but it’s their future that I’m really keeping an eye out on. If you thought the Duke and RC 200 and 390 were cutting edge, you’ve got to get a load of the 790 Duke Prototype. It’s got everything that will make you go weak in the knees – a super futuristic and minimal design by KISKA (who else!), the new headlamp design language that we’ll be seeing on the Indian Duke soon, a mind-numbing 790cc parallel twin (or inline twin, if you want to be particular about it) motor, some super-advanced suspension bits from WP, ride by wire technology, personalised traction control, integrated connectivity and custom ride modes! Our humblest apologies to the Kawasaki Z800, Yamaha MT-09 and every other naked motorcycle that the Duke 790 has in its sights – you guys simply are too far behind when it comes to sheer sexiness!

KTM 790 Duke Prototype
Minimal, alien, futuristic – exactly what the doctor ordered for naked motorcycles!

The title for the video below is simply – The Scalpel, and that just says a whole lot, doesn’t it? If there was a way of demonstrating how better engineering affects riding precision, then this is it. We won’t spoil it for you – watch it yourself!

Now that you’ve seen the 790 Duke Prototype, take a look at more videos that demonstrate what an exciting time 2017 is set to be for KTM fans around the world – regardless of whether you have your mind set on the range-topping 1290 Super Duke R, the corner-carving 390 Duke, or even the ‘entry-level’ 125 Duke! Warning: Keep tissues handy – constantly wipe off drool, and wait – the refreshed Duke 200 and 390 are coming to India soon.
