To celebrate a milestone is very special. Each milestone is a testament to standards, quality, process, sales and customer service. By celebrating the roll out of its 3 millionth two-wheeler on April 17, 2017, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., has established an even deeper foundation in a country that favors two wheelers as a mode of transport.
Value for money, ease of maintenance, accessibility of service, and an entrenched sales and distribution system have ensured that Suzuki has managed to reach out to the Indian customers and deliver products which connect to their needs.
Currently manufacturing 540,000 units per annum, India has become an export hub for the Suzuki two-wheelers. Success with the Gixxer series and the new Access 125 have paved a large part of this value creation. Each of the two wheelers that roll out of the India plant are built with a DNA of innovative technology, quality and product enhancement. In fact, SMIPL subscribes to the Japanese manufacturing philosophy of “PRODUCTS OF SUPERIOR VALUE.” This manufacturing philosophy has been borrowed from the parent company and has been hardwired into the Indian operations.
Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, SMIPL, said “We are delighted to have achieved this remarkable feat which stands as a testament to the continued customer confidence and support & dedication of our employees, dealers and suppliers. Our vehicles have gained immense popularity by fulfilling our commitment to quality across markets. We have witnessed a rapid growth since the past few years and we are confident about further reinforcing our position in the market.”
Having established its Indian operations in February 2006, Suzuki Motorcycles, has continually increased their production capacity as they expand their India footprint. Aims to further increase production volume are evident as customer outreach and new dealerships establish themselves all over the country.
As milestones are celebrated, so too must be the spirit of safe riding. To really get the most out of your two wheeler, a great helmet is a must. It is not an accessory, it is as important as the engine of your two wheeler. If you can get your hands on a nice riding jacket and a pair of boots to match, it will up the “cool-quotient” a whole lot. Cheers to safe biking and celebrating milestones.
