Maruti Suzuki India Limited has finally launched its much-awaited compact hatchback, namely, the All-New Celerio. It is touted to be India’s most fuel-efficient petrol car and it boasts of an all-new design and some exciting new features.

Features
The new Celerio features a nice sporty stance thanks to the 3D organic sculpted design that it now carries. It is a neat urban hatchback that has nice sweeping headlights, a droplet style tail lamp design and a new signature front grille. It rides on 15-inch black alloys that heighten its sporty appeal.
The cabin is touted to be rather spacious, and it comes with a lot of detailing to give it a premium look and feel. Key elements include the new instrument panel, the twin slot centre AC ventilation, chrome accents and a rather stylish looking gear shift lever for the AGS variants. It is bigger than its predecessor so expect it to have more headroom, legroom and boot space too. In terms of connectivity and the infotainment system on board, the Celerio comes with a 7-inch SmartPlay studio infotainment system that has smartphone navigation integrated.
The K-Series Engine
Powering the Celerio is the tried and tested next generation K-Series Engine with Dual Jet, Dual VVT, petrol engine that delivers 68PS of power and 89Nm of torque. With that it boasts of a mileage of 26.68 km/l making it India’s most fuel-efficient petrol-powered car.
As far as safety is concerned, the Celerio is built on the HEARTECT platform that improves crash rigidity and offers effective absorption and dispersion of impact force in the event of an accident. It also gets hill hold with the AGS variant.
Pricing for the new Celerio starts at INR 4.99 lakh and goes up to INR 6.94 lakh.
