MG Motor India launched its first line of sustainable merchandise on Earth Day 2022. In line with their brand philosophies of building out a future that is sustainable, MG has partnered with with Code Effort and Attaware to launch products that are made from upcycled waste and biodegradable disposable material.
With Code Effort and Attaware, MG Motor India is looking at increasing their carbon neutral footprint as the products that will be on offer are all made from recycled goods and sustainable materials. The range currently includes vehicle hangars, keyrings, car cushions and cups that are made from jaggery and grains!
Being at forefront of creating sustainable manufacturing in India, MG recently obtained Environmental Management System (ISO 14001 – 2015) and Occupational, Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001 – 2018) ISO certifications. Previously, MG was the first passenger car manufacturer that collaborated with CleanMax to adopt wind-solar hybrid energy and Asian Paints to use ULTRAX Degreaser to reduce CO2 emission in the painting process.
MG has demonstrated that they are not just about manufacturing cars and are a responsible company that will work with the right partners to drive this message forward. We look forward to seeing more such collaborations!
