Hyundai’s #BETHEBETTERGUY enters its 5th Edition

#BeTheBetterGuy is more than just a road safety campaign. It is a thought that aims at creating a mindset that for safer roads, we all must act. Now in its 5th edition, the #BeTheBetterGuy campaign is in line with the company’s global vision of progress for humanity as they aim at creating a sustainable and safe environment for all road users.

The campaign is targeted towards millennials to drive home the importance of road safety and in doing so, Hyundai India has come up with a range of messages that will drive home the importance of safe driving habits while bringing about a positive change at all levels in order to make our roads safer.

Commenting on the #BeTheBetterGuy Campaign, Mr. SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Transcending the boundaries for a sustainable social environment, #BeTheBetterGuy is one such meaningful road safety campaign that goes ‘Beyond Mobility’ to sensitize the youth about benefits of practicing safe driving habits and making Indian roads safer. Over the years, the #BeTheBetterGuy campaign has been a strong voice in the road safety domain and has influenced a number of motorists in India to become better and safer road users and practice road safety in their day-to-day lives.”

The idea behind the campaign is to ask everyone to stand up and be the better guy on the road. In doing so, the campaign highlights the need for road users not to overspeed, use their mobiles while driving, not wear seatbelts, avoid drinking and driving, avoid underage driving, wear helmets, and follow all road rules. In addition to that, the campaign also has a strong focus on hygiene, social distancing, and the need to sanitize your vehicle in this day and age of the pandemic.
